It's not often that high profile directors make the jump to animated films but there's one now. HeatVision reports Guillermo del Toro has signed on to write and direct
Trollhunters for Dreamworks Animation. This comes after the director was inspired by the studios gamble on high concept animated film How To Train Your Dragon. The film blew audiences and critics way which could finally see the studio take the Oscar from Pixar. While Guillermo is beyond busy with other projects I don't expect this one to take up much of his time. He's putting the finishing touches on the script before starting production on At The Mountains of Madness. We could see Trollhunters being his next film when Madness wraps post-production. He'll also act as a consultant and executive producer on Kung Fu Panda 2.
