Taylor Kitsch Has Seen A Trailer For John Carter Of Mars, Will It Be Attached To Thor?
During press for Bang Bang Club Taylor Kitsch confirms to MTV that he has seen a trailer for John Carter of Mars. He doesn't tell us when it will be released but I have to assume that it might be attached to Thor as it's also a Disney film. Considering they're both rather large science fiction fantasy films it would make sense to pair the two. I have to expect it will a teaser trailer as the film is a year away with a March 9th 2012 release date and it's unknown where they are with the post-production.
John Carter of Mars' Release Date Moves Up To March 9th 2012
While Disney is slowly getting a successful return from Tron Legacy their next big science fiction film John Carter of Mars could be the studio's most ambitious film in recent memory. The adaption of the Edgar Rice Burroughs novels is getting being moved up to a release date of March 9th 2012. It will go up against Ridley Scott's Prometheus which was announced last week.
Civil War vet John Carter is transplanted to Mars, where he discovers a lush, wildly diverse planet whose main inhabitants are 12-foot tall green barbarians. Finding himself a prisoner of these creatures, he escapes, only to encounter Dejah Thoris, Princess of Helium, who is in desperate need of a savior.
Taylor Kitsch (Wolverine, Battleship) plays John Carter, Lily Collins (Wolverine) is Dejah Thoris and Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man) as Martian inhabitant Tars Tarkas. The rest of the impressive cast includes Thomas Haden Church (Sideways, Spider-Man 3), Polly Walker (Clash of The Titans, Patriot Games), Samantha Morton (Minority Report, Control), Mark Strong (Sherlock Holmes, Robin Hood, Green Lantern), Ciaran Hinds (Munich, There Will Be Blood), Dominic West (300, The Wire), James Purefoy (Resident Evil, Rome) and Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad, Drive).

John Carter of Mars Coming June 2012

While Disney's last sand set epic didn't please audiences it looks like John Carter of Mars will. The larger than life science fiction action film will be hitting theaters on June 8th 2012.

NEWS/RUMORS (Jan 14th)

Up and coming British actor Joseph Gatt who will have a role in Thor has confirmed he'll be giving the lead character "a lot of grief". Since his invovlment people have assumed he could be playing the villains Executioner or Absorbing Man.

Hitflix believes that Dr. Hector Hammond won't be the only villain in Green Lantern. They are reporting that Sinestro more than likely will be in the film to set him up as the sequel's bad guy. Jackie Earl Haley (Watchmen) is still a contender for the role.

We haven't heard much news on the Marcus Nispel directed Conan reboot. Now there is talk that a couple of actors could be inline for the lead role. The actors include Kellan Lutz (A Nightmare On Elm Street) and Jason Momoa (Stargate: Atlantis). I think Momoa would make an excellent Conan he's somewhat unknown and has a very unique look.

Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad, Malcolm in the Middle) has joined John Carter of Mars.

The 3D effect is starting impact serious blockbusters after the massive success of Avatar. There is talk that Star Trek 2, Bryan Singer's Jack The Giant Killer remake and Bond23 could be shot in 3D.
