Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Officially Cast In Transformers 3

Earlier this week Victoria's Secret posted the video below. Congratulating alumni model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for landing the lead in Transformers 3. Michael Bay has finally confirmed Rosie has been cast, replacing Megan Fox.

Rosie Huntington Whitney The New Transformers Girl?

British model Rosie Huntington Whitney is rumored as the new front-runner to replace Megan Fox as Sam's new love interest in Transformers 3. It seems somewhat likely that Bay would try to break out another starlet, this would pretty much create Rosie's acting career. I'm still hoping for Gemma Arterton but it doesn't look like the studio is going with a big name.

Megan Fox Fired From Transformers 3, Gemma Replacing Her?

Not surprisingly Megan Fox has been officially cut out of Transformers 3. Director Michael Bay apparently wants to go in another direction and bring in a different actress. There could be many reasons for this change up. One being the acting talent really needs to boosted and having more established leading lady could help with critics of the last film. Some might point out that Fox called Bay "Hitler" in print not too long ago. I'm doubtful that was the reason considering they did have her shoot some pre-visual footage before this announcement. TheWrap reports that Gemma Arterton (Clash of The Titans, Prince of Persia) is the front-runner to replace Fox.

Alan Tudyk & Patrick Dempsey Join Transformers 3

Wrap reports Alan Tudyk (Death At A Funeral, Firefly) has been cast in Transformers 3. Also recently Patrick Dempsey joined and will be playing Megan Fox's seedy boss in a cameo. Micheal Bay and company have lots to prove with this third installment with the second one being a horrible mess. Let's hope with the level of talent they're casting the actors will get more screen time than the racist/stereotyped robots. One of the biggest problems with the last film was it's focus on robot chaos rather than plot, dialog, pacing, acting and structure.
