Vulture reports that a Voltron film is going through a bidding war after it's been offered out to studios. Atlas Entertainment had commissioned a script from Thomas Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer (Conan The Barbarian 3D) as first of a trilogy. They don't mention other studios but Relativity Media is one of the interested studios. The production company has worked with Paramount previously. I assume with Transformers 3 being the last of the robot films and Marvel films now with Disney. Paramount could be looking to gather new blockbuster type franchises. Vulture expects that the film could be released between 2013 and 2014.
