Daniel Craig Officially Joins Dragon Tattoo & Will Be Shot In Sweden?
Deadline reports that Daniel Craig has officially signed on to play Mikael Blomkvist in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Craig would most likely be also committed to the next two sequels which are rumored to be shooting back to back. The coolest aspect is the talk that Craig is working on his Swedish accent as the film will be shooting in Sweden where the novels are set. It's unknown if Lisbeth will also be Swedish but it sounds like David Fincher knows what he's doing with the film.
Artwork From New Godzilla Film
ComingSoon was able to get a hold of this bit of promo artwork for Legendary Pictures reboot of the iconic Godzilla series. What I love about this image is that they're not going for complete overall of the big guy like in the 1998 film. They're being sort of faithful to the original look of Godzilla.

Brent Sprecher: Are we going to get to see The Invaders?

Kevin Feige Talks Post-Avengers Films
Kevin Feige talked to IGN confirming yet again that we'll be seeing Doctor Strange, Black Panther and Iron Fist films.
"What happens after Avengers is what's being discussed now. Obviously, you've heard about Doctor Strange. I've been a vocal fan of Strange for a long time. Black Panther, I think, I mentioned recently. Fraction and Brubaker's reinvention of Iron Fist has gotten me excited to do some version of that in our world."

Michael Parks Cast In Kevin Smith's Red State
Micheal Parks is the first actor to be cast in Kevin Smith's horror film Red State. Parks is best known for his iconic role as Sheriff Earl "Quick Draw" McGraw in Dusk Til' Dawn, Kill Bill Vol.1 and Planet Terror. I'm beyond interested to see Smith move away from his comfort zone of making comedies.

More Actresses In The Running For Dragon Tattoo
With David Fincher locked in to direct and Daniel Craig starring as the film's male lead. It seems like the real hunt is for the perfect Lisbeth. We've previously heard actresses such as Carey Mulligan, Ellen Page and Mia Wasikowska have been in talks.
Now Deadline reports that Sony is looking at Emily Browning (Sucker Punch), Rooney Mara (Social Network) and French actress Lea Seydoux (Inglourious Basterds, Robin Hood) according to Showbiz411 are the newest candidates.
Marvel Studios Regains Control of Punisher
It looks like the previous rumor of Frank Castle being included in upcoming Marvel Studios films could be true. Kevin Feige during the Marvel Comic-Con pannel confirms the studio has regained control of Punisher and hopes to include him in their film universe soon. Lionsgate held the rights to anti-hero for the last two movies. Previously it had been rumored that Frank could make an appearance in Avengers or the S.H.I.E.L.D. film. After three failed solo films I think it would be interesting to see Castle included as a supporting character in other Marvel films.
Most recently Ray Stevenson had played the role but has taken up another character in Thor so it's expected Castle will be recast. My vote goes to Jon Hamm (Mad Men, The Town, Sucker Punch) to take on the role.

“I’ve met with Pete Travis, Andrew McDonald and we’ve had a really wonderful meeting of the minds and long story short, they have offered me the role and we’re in the process of making that happen.”
“To have the opportunity to play such an iconic and enigmatic character as Joe Dredd is a phenomenal opportunity and I’m really thrilled and looking forward to getting into it.”

Kathryn Bigelow, Tony Scott & Matt Reeves Offered Wolverine 2?
ThePlaylist reports that Fox is already on the hunt for a director for Wolverine 2 since X-Men First Class is setup. They name directors like Kathryn Bigelow (Hurt Locker, Point Break), Tony Scott (True Romance, Last Boy Scout) and Matt Reeves (Cloverfield, Let Me In) being in talks with the studio. I'd love to see Bigelow take on a comicbook film but it seems like she would be too busy with other projects.
