Actors Confirmed For Wrath of The Titans

ComingSoon received the Wrath of The Titans press release which again confirms returning cast members Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes and Queen Andromeda now played by Rosamund Pike. Not previously mentioned is Danny Huston who is reprising the role of Poseidon. Along with new additions Edgar Ramirez as Ares, Tobey Kebbell as Argenor and Bill Nighy as Hephaestus the blacksmith to the gods. Oddly enough Gemma Arterton who ended up the love interest in the first film doesn't appear as in the cast. Her role could possibly be cut or even in the process of being re-cast.

Rosamund Pike To Play Andromeda In Wrath of The Titans

Deadline reports that Rosamund Pike (An Education, Die Another Day) has been recast as Princess Andromeda in Jonathan Liebesman's (Battle Los Angeles) Wrath of The Titans. Sam Worthington, Gemma Arterton, Liam Nesson and Ralph Fiennes are reprising their roles. Pike had recently been linked to both X-Men First Class and Superman.

TheWrap previously reported that Hayley Atwell (Captain America), Clemence Poesy (In Bruges, 127 Hours), Dominique McElligott (Moon) and Georgina Haig (Wasted On The Youth) had been candidates to replace Alexa Davalos. The same report linked Edgar Rameriz (Carlos) as being in final talks to take the role of Ares, Tobey Kebbell (RockNRolla) for the role of Agenor and Bill Nighy as Hephaestus the blacksmith to the gods. 

RUMOR: Eve, Pike & Kruger Up For Kryptoian Villain Ursa?

LatinoReview is claiming to have found out who the unknown Superman role actresses Alice Eve, Rosamund Pike and Diane Kruger are testing for. It's General Zod's right-hand lady Ursa who was featured as one of three Kryptoian villains in Superman II.

If true this means that Zod very well could be a villain in the film. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Joe Manganiello in the role of bruiser Non. I'd rather see a Krytoian war on Earth instead of Lex Luthor being the villain for the umpteenth time. There have also been rumblings of Doomsday being the film's big baddie.

Alice Eve, Rosamund Pike & Diane Kruger Up For Unknown Superman Role

Variety reports that Alice Eve, Rosamund Pike and Diane Kruger (Troy, Inglourious Basterds) are up for a major female role in Zack Snyder's Superman. Alice Eve has tested for Captain America and landed the Emma Frost role in X-Men First Class before quitting over the limited part. Pike also had been linked to the Frost role but ultimately didn't get it. The kicker is that they say the role is not for Lois Lane. Surprisingly enough there aren't many female roles in the world of Superman. I expect that it could be Lana Lane, Kara Kent (Supergirl) or Lara (Clark's Kryptonian mother). More than likely the latter of the three as a brief scene of Clark's origin made into a credit montage is very possible.

Amber Heard & Rosamund Pike To Join First Class?

The Playlist (via Production Weekly) reports that 20th Century Fox has "strong interest" in both Amber Heard and Rosamund Pike for roles in X-Men First Class. Pike had been rumored for Emma Frost but PW says otherwise. They say that Pike could play Moira MacTaggert (Xavier's assistant) and Heard would play young a Mystique.

Could Rosamund Pike Be Emma Frost In First Class?

Just today we learned that an offer could have gone out to Michael Fassbener and previously Aaron Johnson was rumored to star in Matthew Vaughn's X-Men First Class. Now Forces of Geek has a scoop/rumor that someone spotted actress Rosamund Pike in the First Class casting office carrying an Emma Frost/X-Men comics. This doesn't sound too far fetched considering Frost has been rumored since the announcement of the film and Vaughn would be looking to cast UK actors since they'll be shooting mostly in London. Emma Frost is one of the most popular ladies of the X-Men has never had much screentime. The character did cameo in Wolverine last summer. Frost has been romantically linked to Scott Summers (Cyclops) and could be a way to have the two be the parents of Cable.


The rumored X-Men lineup includes Scott Summers (Cyclops), Remy LeBeau (Gambit) and now Frost. Yet don't forget the film is most likely focusing on the reltionship between Professor X and Magneto.
