Previously we've been hearing that Sherlock Holmes 2 could be starting production in June. Now Hero Complex is confirming that director Guy Ritchie is leaving Lobo to focus on the Holmes sequel, which isn't really a bad thing. Producer Joel Silver gives the impression that he'll be looking for a new director to replace Ritchie for Lobo. Warner Bros. had commissioned a Sherlock Holmes 2 script three months prior to the first film's release. I expect Holmes could be a very successful franchise if they're able to keep filming sequels often it feels like a serial series similar to Indiana Jones.
