NEWS/RUMORS (Jan 20th)

MTV has a new poster for Tron Legacy, I'm still shocked how long Disney is taking to release this film.

Jonathan Levine (The Wackness) will start production on I'm With Cancer soon. He'll also be writing and directing a film based on the zombie romance novel Warm Bodies by Issac Marion. Levine isn't a stranger to horror one of his first films All The Boys Love Mandy Lane was an unconventional addition to the genre.

Director Matt Reeves (Cloverfield) jokingly said he has "bullseye on his back" for trying to make the American version of the beloved Swedish teen vampire film Let The Right One In. He does however promise fans Let Me In will be darker than Twilight. I'm not sure how that is supposed to reassure fans of the original. The saving grace of the project is that Hammer Films is behind it's production. Along with the talented cast which includes Kodi Smit-McPhee (The Road) and Chloe Moretz (Kick-Ass).

Most fans of Quentin Tarantino understand he likes jumping into different film genres. We've heard recently he'd like to make a western or gangster film before jumping into another Kill Bill or Basterds movie. Now the The Sun, one of the worst gossip rags in the UK is starting the rumor that Tarantino wants to make a film set in England's Middle Ages. The concept isn't out there it's that they seem to have an "exclusive" that Helen Mirren is Quentin's choice to play a foul-mouthed queen in the film. I'm only posting the story because everyone seems hungry for anything Tarantino lately and I'm in that group. I doubt any of this is true since Tarantino is famous for revealing this stuff in interviews and this wasn't quoted from the man himself.

Andy Serkis will replace David Tennant in John Landis' (An American Werewolf In London) Burke & Hare. The film is also starring Simon Pegg, Bill Nighy and John Cleese.
