It was only a week or so go that DiCaprio was talking about taking a year off making films after the intense shooting he did on his last couple of films. His production company Appian Way has many projects in the works some like Beat The Reaper and The Chaser could have Leo starring in them. He's also in talks to star in The Low Dweller and Mel Gibson's Viking film.
Deadline Hollywood reports he's now taken interest in the hot script The Prisoners. The project has been plagued by missteps over the last year or so. Mark Walhberg and Christian Bale were interested in the film with Bryan Singer rumored to direct until it fell part. Director Antoine Fuqua (Training Day) with Hugh Jackman rumored showed interest but since has moved on. The only problem is that DiCaprio is very picky about his directors. I expect to keep Leo they would need to hire a big named director. There has been enough interest from Hollywood that I'm sure someone will come along.
