Variety reports Len Wiseman is one of many directors who are taking advantage of French rebates. He'll be using a French company to help the production of Underworld 3D. Although my gist from reading the article is that they're just converting the original 2003 film into 3D for re-release. I could be wrong since they've been talking about a sequel to Underworld: Evolution for a while now. The report confirms Wiseman will direct either way. Considering Gears of Wars is still in development along with other projects, this could be next for Wiseman. The film already has the release date of January 21st 2011 so they'll have to start production soon. BloodyDisgusting seems to be under the impression that Kate Beckinsale will be returning, in what capacity is unknown. They also believe Beckinsale is trying her best to leave the project.
